The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications at the moment are open and can shut on 15 December 2024.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit any proof of earnings.
